Amongst my Oil Communities on FB there has been much discussion happening about Smart & Sassy and other oils/blends for stimulating motivation and production. What it comes down to is we’re all remarkably unique and individual and essential oils do not fit the description of ‘one size fits all’. Certainly there are generalities and commonalities. What’s important about the Oil Communities is that we discuss what works and what doesn’t. This enables people to build their confidence and knowledge in trying remedies for themselves.
Within hours after my excited posting about my experience with Smart & Sassy, another friend was posting about another blend called Motivate, no need to explain what that does 😉 I had also completed a video for a private group in which I discuss how Fennel essential oil had motivated me. Plus, Norma, a fellow LMP Expert, had written a beautifully, succinct blog about procrastination a couple of days earlier.
It seems these issues are on many peoples minds.
I’m in Day 3 of my Smart & Sassy dry brushing and I noticed that I wasn’t so enthusiastic to leap out of bed this morning. Once I did, I was reminded of how wonderful it feels to dry brush the body, enhanced by the stimulating and refreshing aroma of essential oils.
There is no doubt, though, that my motivation has lessened and I’m back to telling my Self ‘get up NOW’ and doing it.
What happened?
Essential oils are one of my passions and experimenting with and working with them ebbs and flows, though the passion still remains. It was getting up early that I did not want to do.
What I’ve realised is; I was enlivened the other day because I was motivated by the opportunity to do something new and exciting. Once that excitement had passed, the motivation lessened and the act of dry brushing with essential oils is becoming a part of my regular routine.
There we go. Routine.
Can you think of anything that the ‘one size fits all’ model does work for?
Why do you think so many people are challenged to feel motivated?
Would life be easier if motivation was felt constantly?
What do you think life would like without motivation?
Do you know what motivates you?
Do your methods of motivation change or stay the same?
